Help! Lpn valedictorian speech

Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

Hello fellow nursing students, graduates and nurses. I recently passed my comprehensive predictor on Jan 6th. At my school, passing this test with a 900 is mandatory to be eligible for state boards. I am proud to say I scored an 1123. The next day I went to pick up my cap and gown, and they informed me that I am the Valedictorian of my class and will be expected to make a speech. I never liked public speaking, and I've never had to write this type of speech. I am nervous, has anyone else had to write one? Does anyone have any ideas or insight to help me?? Graduation is Jan 22nd, and my speech is due by Jan 18th, all in the meanwhile i am trying to keep myself up on practicing for my NCLEX.. any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!!

I'm not much of a public speaker myself and have never been Valedictorian. However, I wanted to say Congratulations!!! That is awesome!

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

I will see if I can PM you something you are free to adjust and take credit for

Write about nursing and why you all chose the profession. Write about how it was difficult and you guys overcame. Try to say some good things about specific teachers or funny things that happened to you guys along the way. Mix seriousness about what you guys are pursuing with some humanity/humor about how you got there.

Also, you're a graduate practical nurse. You don't get the "L" until you pass the NCLEX-PN
