They are under provisional approval by the BON, I went there for two months and hated it. Wouldn't recommend it to my worse enemy.

I just finished the LPN program at Atlanta Technical College and they have reopened the program haven't heard of a wait list. Have you tried them if you are in the Atlanta area? Even with all the last minute changes it is a good program and they accept financial aid so if you qualify for Hope and Pell the tuition and books are really reasonable. Sorry can't offer you anything positive about Brown Mackie only heard negative things. I wish you luck.

I wish you tons of luck! And congrats! It's really strange how much i've read lately about how bad Brown Mackie sucks! I havent gone there so im just curious! For such an expensive college I don't understand what might be going on? How much is this program there? My school where I'm (Hopefully) going to next fall is pretty high its over 20,000!

I am currently attending Brown Mackie South Bend, and I love it. Yes there are things I don't like, for example sometimes they are soo unorganized with the scheduling, but they are working on it and just hired a new clinical coordinator and she is incredible. You will be very busy for the next 15 months but it is well worth it in the end. The cost isn't much different than anywhere else, and everyone will tell you the credits do not transfer. Which is true and false, not all your credits may transfer but most of them do. I know at least 5 BM graduates that are working on their RN now. I have about 6 months left until my graduation, and I have learned so much. The instructors are very personable and will help you with anything you need. Some will even tutor you on their free time. A tid bit of advise...practice you NCLEX even if you think its too early, it's never too early. Keep me posted and lt me know how you like it. Which school are you attending?

i currently attend brown mackie in southbend, and i start my externship class on monday, so i am in my last class.

ivytech, and bethel will take some of our credits, but not all, but that is with any school. sometimes they are a bit unorganized but overall its okay. just be sure to practice, practice, practice nclex, the program they have there is said to be alot harder than the actual state boards, which is great!!!

i had lots of complaints about them when i first started, but now that i am almost done, i can say that i will miss it there, especially the teachers all of them were great!! very helpful.

it is expensive, but you have to ask yourself if it is worth it for you, for me it is. i have coworkers that go to ivytech and started before me, and i am done in october, and they still have at least 1 1/2-2 yrs. left

at brownmackie we learn in one day what other students at other schools learn in two weeks, it is fast paced.

just be sure to study , o and did i mention practice nclex!!!!!!!:yeah:
