Passed NCLEX in california...Can U work right away

Hi one and all...Just got my results in the mail today and I passed...I took it on 3-13-07 in San Francisco and I guess it takes 3 weeks to get your results...

Anyhow..I thought that I was getting my license through the mail...but I didn't expect to have to pay an additional $120 for my license and still have to wait 3 more weeks for my license..

My question is:::When I pay the $120 can I also apply for an interim permit to work while I wait 3 more weeks for my actual license to come in.....

Any advice??? I'm in california by the way...

You'll need to wait the couple of weeks before your license arrives in the mail.

I received my California test results on the 9th of the month, immediately sent my $100 check to the BVNPT, and received my permanent license on the 20th of the month. All in all, that took 11 days. There's no point in obtaining an 'interim' permit when the permanent license will arrive in a few days.

Hi! you can applied and say that you'll received the card in couple weeks.

while you can check on the website online verification, the card # and issue day.
