LPN to RN Bridge Programs

Nurses LPN/LVN

I'm completing my LPN education and planning for my RN. I'd like to hear from anyone whose in transition or considering it also. I'm torn between attending a traditional classroom or taking online courses. Online courses are more expensive, but I like the flexibility (I plan on working) and that there's no waiting list. Please share your own pros/cons and opinions, thanks!

Hey there. I'm just starting LPN school in the spring but I have a friend that is doing her LPN to RN bridge program. She is doing a combination of online classes and traditional classes. She decided not to do all online classes because with most of the programs she looked at she was going to have to do all of her clinicals in one weekend. That's putting a lot of eggs into one basket, not to mention that's not a lot of hands-on exposure before you graduate and take your boards.

Like I said, I'm not personally experienced in this matter, but that is definitely something you would want to consider.

Hi,

I decided to do the CC version of the LPN to RN Program because it was far cheaper and I was very concerned about the online programs being accepted by my BON. Excelsior is no longer accepted in my state and I also want to be able to attend a local university, which would mostly be online, for my MSN at some point. Good luck! Jules
