Here, let me Google that for you.....
It is an illogical premise... that an area will "pay less than a certain job is worth". Because, the 'worth' of a job is established by market forces. So, whatever is being paid IS what that job is worth in that particular area. Corollary: Employers will never pay more than it takes to recruit and retain qualified staff.
Thanks, do you know approximately how much they make down there? I find those websites grossly inaccurate in my experience, which is why I am seeking more personal accounts. Also, do you happen to know if there are any other opportunities than just nursing homes? I'd like to move there as I would be closer to family & schools are cheaper.
You might want to post your questions over in our Tennessee Nursing forum to increase the chances of receiving the responses you're seeking. Many of us are unfamiliar with the TN LPN market, but certainly someone over in that forum would be able to help you out.So seriously no one can just give me a number? Just something for me estimate my income?
Good luck to you.

I am considering moving from MA to TN to be closer to family but I'm getting paid pretty well our here so I was wondering how much might I make down in TN? I have about 6 years of experience, mostly pediatric but some nursing home, rehab & psych from when I worked agencies in NY. I understand TN has no state income tax so even if I don't make as much as I'm making here that would make a difference. I just have a lot of debt & don't want to struggle due to moving somewhere that doesn't pay LPNs what they're worth.
