I thought I would start a thread for those of you applying or have already applied for Fall 2012 for the BSN program at LSU. We can freak out together and perhaps share tidbits of informative information along the way!! Best of Luck Ya"ll

Congrats to everyone that is going to be starting in fall 2012. I was wondering if anyone was going to be moving to New Orleans and was looking for a place to live. I am having a hard time finding a place that allows pets. I have a black lab mix. Anyone who might be interested in a roommate please let me know. It would be great to live with someone in the same class! Super excited to start school! congrats again to everyone!!

Hi Jenwilke. I'm an out-of-state student. My gpa was around 3.0 or 3.2 and my Hesi was 88. I also made sure I prepared well for the essay and the interview :)
thanks workstudysleep,
im an out of state student as well. my gpa is a 3.75 and my hesi was a 93 but i could not make the interview because they notified me on such short notice and i wasnt able to make arrangements. do u think i still even have a chance? i never recieved a letter or anything tho and no one from lsu will call me back

Hey jenwilke, the interview process is 30% of there to decision to accept new students. So if you weren't able to go this time, you will need to reapply for next semester. I highly suggest trying again because your grades are great and so is your hesi!!

Does anyone know how you find out where you stand on the wait list? They said to call but no one ever answers or returns your phone calls. Please any info would help!!

hey! im not sure who you called, but try (moderator edit of name - please do not post names on the public boards per tos). the phone number should be on the letter you recieved (if you were put on the alternate list)
however, i've already called , and wouldn't tell me my placement (or ranking). you could try though!
oh, and ive got a question: what exactly did the dean say about people getting on the waitlist? because i went to the counselor here at lsu the other day, and she said only 5-10 people get put on.
who knows?
blegh.

Yeah I doubt they would tell you your ranking on the alternate list. When do you think we (alternate list applicants) will know if we are rejected/accepted?

People who were accepted for Fall 2012, do we need to turn in the papers (not health forms) for our scheduled advising session or do we have to mail them?

Health forms are to be mailed in. All other paperwork is to be turned in at the advising session.
