Compass test for BRCC

U.S.A. Louisiana

Published

Hi I was thinking about enrolling in brcc's nursing program and I was wondering if anyone has taken their compass entrance test. I haven't taken any college level English or math so I'm nervous as to what to expect.

I don't want to sound elitist or anything, but I've heard a lot of bad things about BRCC. And those were accounts from actual students. I encourage you to look up some reviews on different nursing schools in LA before making a decision. Best of luck!

And sorry, I don't know anything about the compass exam; I didn't even know they had a nursing program.

Thanks!. I've heard bad things as well so I will continue to do my research.

I'm applying to nursing at BRCC this year. I've been at brcc for 2 years. I love it. & I think all the bad reviews might be from years ago. I have talked to several people currently enrolled and they love it! So maybe double check before making a choice. BRCC is the best deal in Louisiana in my opinion. It's cheap, it's quick, and doesn't require as many prerequisite as other places. I went to SLU (southeastern) for 2 years and it was a nightmare. And it's extremely extremely extremely hard to get into the nursing program. You have to have a 4.0. & there is a huge long waiting list. Just throwing this info out there. I would hate for you to miss out on a wonderful school because of some bad reviews.

Thank you so much I was looking at south eastern and you've helped me so much with my decision. I'm still contemplating going to brcc because it's the closest to me. Fingers crossed I have a good experience as well

You will! It's a really great school. I have not a bad thing to say about it. I'm waiting for my admission/denial letter for the nursing program at BRCC. It comes June. I retook all my prerequisite and now have a 4.0!! Thanks to this school, and the wonderful professors. Best of luck.

I wish you the best

I took the COMPASS test today. It is similar to the ACT so if you did well on that test you'll do fine!
