Legal Nurse Consulting

Hi! Just wondering if anyone out there has ever taken the RN Market LNC Stat program or any of their courses? I have taken the Vickie Milazzo course in the past.
Please advise........thanks!
Margo

Margo,
Since you took the Milazzo course, what was your opinion of it? And, have you been able to capitalize on it so as to provide legal consulting as an independent contractor?
Thanks.

Hello, margoclnc,

I moved your thread to the Legal Nursing forum for a better response.

There are a couple members here who have taken the RNStat LNC course. They seemed to be quite pleased with the course. I know that the developer/owner of that program is planning quite a few changes and/or additions for the program, too. Future looks bright.

So, how are things going for you??

Hi Bill,
I liked the Milazzo course, however, I thought they should have gone through a mock case from start to finish. Instead, they make you take another two addt'l days at the end of the six days to do that, and of course charge more money. It's a real pep rally sort of event, although she does provide good information about the legal world of nursing. I thought RN Market would be good because its much smaller, informal, and you can get more out of it. The Milazzo venue was much much bigger. I have yet to capitalize on my certification. Thanks.

Depends upon the entity by which you are certified, mea.

Most will state something like, "15 hours to maintain certification every 3 years". Which means one could get all 15 hours at one time at any point during the 3 years.

Others may delineate that a certain amount of hours be accrued every year times 'X' many years to maintain certification.

You need to find out what your certifying body requires.
