Thinking of moving to Kentucky

U.S.A. Kentucky

Hello all,

I currently reside in Auburn, AL and have been thinking of moving possibly to another city or state after I complete RN school. What are some good areas with large range of healthcare facilities to choose from?

Louisville or Lexington, KY are your best bet. Both have a broad mix of hospitals. Good luck, and let us know what you decide, so we can welcome you to KY. ;)

Stay in 'Bama! I'm an Alabama transplant and I miss home like crazy! Winters here are too cold, and the atmosphere is more hurried.

Although, I can see where you'd want to get out of Auburn (lol). I did my first year of collegeat U of A.

If you are going to move here, I have heard great things about all the area hospitals. There are 5 in Lexington, then there are several in the towns surrounding Lex.

Another Alabama transplant here. We moved here from Montgomery though. I'm not a nurse yet - still in nursing school. Just wanted to say hi. :)

I'm in Northern KY which gives the possibility of working at one of the KY Hospitals (St Luke East, St Luke West, St Elizabeth North, St Elizabeth South) or you can go right across the river into Cincinnati, OH and there are a ton of hospitals to choose from (Christ, Good Sam, Bethesda, Childrens, etc).

I love this area - you can live in the peacefulness of the country but it's just a stone's throw away from the city.

Good luck!
