I'm a 2004 ACC LPN grad. Since moved to Huntington, working at MMBH (the "old state hospital") and an RN student at Marshall. Nice to know there are others in the area!

I've heard that KD is a great hospital. My husband is from Louisa; we've actually toyed with the idea of moving back to that area. I'm actually from Louisville myself, and we currently live between Louisville and Lexington, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Eastern KY. Anyway, if we moved to the area I would most definately try to get a job at KD.

Specializes in jack of all trades.

I worked at tri-rivers in Louisa back when it was Humana and must say it was the best place I ever worked at in my 25 years as an RN. Most the staff are long term and the docs treated us with great respect and allowed a great deal of autonomy. This was something I didnt see much of in the larger or teaching hospitals I worked at in Lexington. They had and still do a great ICU and ER. There are things you wouldnt see or get to do in a larger based hospital. It was the best learning experience I had in my career and I wouldnt hesitate to return there to work.
