Anyone on here trying to get in to the ADN program at Neosho County in Ottawa?

I will let you guys know as soon as I find out! I joined a Facebook group that one of the girls on here started for students graduating in 2015. You guys heard of it?

djaltic, I bet yours will come tomorrow! Post back and let us know when it does. I live a few miles north of Ottawa so it will be roughly a 5 minute commute to campus for me.

Jflem5, so you've decided on NCCC instead of JCCC? Is the JCCC program bi-level like NCCC's? I know they are both great programs but what made you choose one over the other?

Yes, I decided on NCCC. JCCC is not bi-level. I would have had to reapply for a RN bridge program upon completion of their LPN program. I also preferred NCCC's times for the program over JCCC, because I have 2 kiddos and I will still be able to get them to and from school for a little while during the program. I was really excited to be chosen for JCCC, but ultimately NCCC is a better fit :-)

Djaltic, so excited for you to get your mail!!

Yeah!!! Congrats!! See you at orientation :-)

Side note....did you guys get a form for your physical with your letter? I read that it was with everything, but mine was lacking that form.

That is awesome! Congrats! I can not wait to get started.

Yes, I received that form. On one side of the form it says: "Health Requirements for Nursing Students" and on the other side is a health exam form that is to be completed by a physician, PA, or ARNP. If you didn't get that form I'd just pick it up when you turn your enrollment sheet in.

Is anyone going to take any additional classes besides dosage calc and intro to nursing? I was thinking about taking eastern civ and humanities 1 online to fulfill a few BSN requirements. I also thought about taking pathophysiology online BUT I'm not sure if now is the right time. It might be better to gain some essential nursing knowledge before diving in to patho. But then again taking pathophysiology now would probably help tremendously throughout the entire program. Anyone else considering taking pathophysiology this fall?

Thanks! So excited!!

I did get the form and yes I was planning on taking a couple of classes to fulfill the financial aid requirement. I also want to take classes that are for the ABSN program through MidAmerica, I talked to the lady at the school and found out I don't have to take any more science or English classes! I do have to take a college algebra and patho physiology so I was thinking of taking those two and they are only available online so they don't interfere with intro to nursing and dosage calc. I have taken classes online before but not sure those two are a good idea to take online.

I don't think I am going to take any extra classes this time. I am kinda looking forward to having a little bit of down time before our lives revolve around nursing school :-) Looking at the class layout, doesn't make it look to horrible. Maybe wishful thinking!

I guess I will get with Kelly for my physical form. Thanks for letting me know!

I'm getting so excited! I can't wait for orientation! It feels so great to tell people that I've been accepted though!!

Count down to orientation :-) I'm getting pretty excited!!
