Hello guys,

Anybody who has contacted the new board AHPRA? what is the best time to call them?

I have some queries on where to send the white sheet to notify them about my IRON program. On the paper it says send to NBV but the website is redirected to ahpra now. Hope anyone could give me an idea on this. Thanks.

The switch from state boards to a national board took place on July 1st, so things will be in transition for a while. The NBV no longer exists, which is why the site redirects. If you want to ring rather than email, make sure you check the time difference, and ring between 1000 and 1600, Australian eastern standard time. Good luck :)

thanks, I tried calling them but I was put on hold for several minutes so I opted e-mailing them. After 3 days, no response yet. I'm patiently waiting.

Since I posted a friend tried contacting APHRA about reregistering after her registration lapsed - she was on hold for 25 minutes before speaking to a guy who had no idea how to help (and not a huge amount of interest, by her account). In the end he referred her back to the website, which also didn't have the information she needed - and which only lets you look at the forms she needed to download if you have a log in. Which you can only get if you're registered...

All of which is to say a follow up mail isn't a bad idea, and I wouldn't expect a quick response :) But soon, hopefully.

NBV was moved to the new Nursing and Midwifery Board's current address on 25th of June and NBV ceased to exist when the new board came into effect on 1st July. So send the sheet to NMBA whose postal address is here.
