What exams would I need to take?

I'm currently a sophomore pre-nursing student, but I don't think it's too early to start asking questions... After all, it's better to be prepared, right? :)

Anyways... I'm a US citizen who's currently studying in the Philippines. What exams would I need to take in order to find a job in the US (preferably California)? I'm aware of the NCLEX and state board exams, and the Philippine board exam. I was told that I wouldn't need to take the CGFNS because of my US citizenship. Would I still need to take the TOEFL?

Am I forgetting any exams? Are there any others that I would need to take? Thank you to any generous soul who helps out. :)

If you are a US citizen, then you do not need to take any exam other that the NCLEX. The licensing exam in the Philippines is actually not a requirement for you, either. You just need a completed set of transcripts before you can apply to CA for licensure.

TOEFL is not required for California licensure. The language exams are only required for a few states, and if you are applying for a green card.

Hope that this helps...............:balloons:
