I am interested in information on what you think now that you are doing it. ... what you would change, and or do differently , concerns, where it is , and what you have found..... JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING THAT YOU CAN TELL ME... before I make my decision.... I am leaning towards, the associates degree, and then go from there, to ad on immediatly but as able. I need a fast, shortest, and least expensive method. I am considering Excelsior as well, I have reasearched so many in Canada, and U.S. i am dizzy, but just want to her any personal things people have run into. thanks in advance for your time.

I am a Canadian RN got my BScN in Canada practiced for a few years then did travel nursing for the last 2 years in the USA. From my perspective it depends what your wanting to do when you get your RN license. Many specialties require a BSN although some don't advertise as such it is definately the reality. If you plan to practice as an RN in Canada you have to have the BScN no questions asked can't get licensed without it. Defitely opens upmore possibilities with the BScN. ADN is faster but not as portable. Im glad I just did the BScN I've been done with school for several years, don;t have to go back, and can have my pick of what and where I want to go as an RN.

Registered Psychiatric Nurse is a two year diploma course. There are courses available in BC, AB, etc. to bridge them up to BScN-RN status.

From what I hear there are plans to make the Psych course a degree as well.
