I am a UK nurse wanting to go to the USA to be with my fiance, I currently am awaiting a CES report but as stated earlier the college are unable to state the number of hours in each subject area. Another alternative for me is to go to the USA on a student visa and go to college to convert my diploma to a degree. However I was wondering if I need to have done NCLEX and have a valid state nursing license to do this.

Any ideas????????????????????????

I think you will require a state license if bridging to BSN however you are better checking out schools and their requirements in the area you plan on living. Be aware International fees will be expensive and a lot of courses are part time so will not meet the student visa F1 requirement which is full time schooling. Also a lot of these courses are done online as many ADN-BSN students continue working
