The Queensland Nurses Union says it is pleased with the terms of reference for the Crime and Misconduct Commission (CMC) inquiry into the Bundaberg Hospital.

While a commission of inquiry investigates issues surrounding overseas trained doctors, the CMC will focus its attention on the complaints handling process.

It will look at Queensland Health's response to complaints and whether there were reprisals against anyone who made a complaint.

The union's Gay Hawksworth is confident the CMC's inquiry will be adequate.

"What concerned us at the time we made the complaints to the CMC - which was before the royal commission was announced - was that there was an internal Queensland Health investigation only at that stage," she said.

Meanwhile, the Health Rights Commission says it hopes to start providing feedback to Queensland Health within a few weeks on issues it has identified at the Bundaberg Hospital.

Sorry but this enquiry is long long overdue. I am just hoping that they will come up with some real "fixes" for this system and not more bandaids!!!

I dont know if this will be a fix.... I think they will do only the minimal amount. That is, hold the inquiry and we wait the usual 2 years for a result and everyone has forgotten about the reason for the inquiry....... maybe I am just being cynical
