uk RMN converting to RGN,wanting to work in Florida! Help!

HI everyone!

I am wondering if anyone has any helpful tips. I am in a bit of a predicament; I was advised by a nursing agency to convert into Adult nursing from RMN if I want to work in USA, I am currently at Uni and on adult conversion course.However, I thought this would be enough to do this, then sit my CGFNS then NCLEX exam and hey presto pass these and work in Florida.Well I have been informed that as I will be put on part 12 of the NMC register when i qualify and not part 1, this will not allow me to work in USA. Apparently I don't have Paediatric modules in my course and this is part of the CGNFS exam.I have thought about completing this extra module to my current course.I would especially like to hear from any conversion nurses from RMN to RGN that has been successful in gaining employment in the USA, or anyone who may know something on this matter.
