Hi, is there any buddy actually know how long it will take for the GC from the date of filing 140? In TX and CA service center, respectively?

The process date of the website of the INS is never precise!

As I have stated many times before, go to http://www.visapro.com and input your number, or just brinbg up the state and their dates are pretty close. Theywill always be factors influencing these numbers such as where you will be going for your Embassy interview, etc. But you are also looking at two states that take about the longest in the US to obtain a green card for working there.

Does visapro.com provide any different information from the USCIS case status online?

My petition was filed early in January 2004 with the Texas Service Center. I expect the processing to take at least another 6 months. It seems to me, there hasn't been much processing done on I-140 Schedule-A petitions within the past 2 months in Texas. Looks like they're trying to reduce the backlog on all other I-140s first, before moving on with Schedule-A's.

It took approximately 1yr to for my petition to be processed . received it in August '04 . For months nothing was being processed and also you find the information the service centers have to be wrong sometimes give them at least 10mnths

I'll give them all the time in the world, as long as I end up with my immigrant visa!

If your petition was filed January 2004 then you are in for a long wait. Texas Service Center is processing August , 2003 for Schedule A -Nurses. And this has been going on for nearly three months. In my case, it took exactly 11 months for my petition to be approved by the California Service Center which has a backlog similar to Texas. I am on Packet 3 now. Whew!!! :balloons: :balloons:
