that's very interesting Silverdragon102

I didn't know that either, however, to answer jlsRN I would only transport them once I was sure, as I would not want to put them through the stress of a move more than once.

Hi scattycarrot

Are you finding it very tough to get in? I am desperate to move to Florida but am so worried about how difficult it will be to get in :(

Have you looked on the Florida forum? There is quite alot of info on there about nursing in FL, which unfortantly, hasn't got a great reputation as it tends to be lower paid than other states. To be honest, I haven't even looked beyond the general interest thing as I have been waiting for my CES report to be issued. It now has, but I am in no hurry as I am 25 weeks pregnant and won't be working for a while anyway!

Have you been on the Florida BON website? If you have, you have noticed its not very helpful! I dont know how far you have looked into getting your licence or if you have started the process or are 1/2 way through it or whatever so sorry if you know all this but you do not need the CGFNs exam to get a licence in FL. You just need to get a CES report (the full one, which the Fl BON don't ask for but its recommened that you get in case you ever move elsewhere) done which looks at your training and decides whether you have enough clinical and theory hours in particluar subjects, this then gets sent by the CES service (I used CGFN's)to the BON who look at your application and decide whether to give you 'Approval to Test' (ATT) and if they do then you aplly to Persun-Vue and sit the NCLEX and pass, right?. I am at the CES report stage and literlly just got that. (If any of this is incorrect, than someone please correct me!!!)

Where abouts in FL are you thinking of moving too?

Scattycarrot Very correct, CES from CGFNS then application form (Florida does say will not look at application without it) once OK given register with pearsonvue and wait for ATT and pay fees including international fees. Unfortunately the process at the moment due to retrogression is very slow and you are looking at a few years (over 5 years at the moment as only processing dates of Oct 2002) Things may more a bit quicker after the US elections late next year but do not expect anything to move sooner as plenty waiting including me and I have been at the final stage since last Aug 2006

Here in AZ your dog has to be vaccinated against Rabies and wear a tag saying the dog is current.
