Starting point for working in the USA?

Hey, I am really new on this page and I am glad to be interacting with my fellow nurses. My question is this, I am an international nurse and I wish to practice in the US and I dont really know where to start and what to do so please could someone help and put me through.

Starting point would be deciding which state you plan on living and working in and looking at the state Board of Nursing requirements for International trained nurse. Then check out the Nurse Registration forum and look to see if questions regarding the state have been asked and answered. Then you need to look for a employer who is willing to wait the many years that it will take for you to get a immigrant visa allowing you to live and work in the US

What country is your BSN degree from? What year did you graduate? Do you have a valid and current nursing license from your country?

How many years of paid nursing experience? What states are your #1 and #2 choices?
