Loan forgiveness in exchange for working in underserved community

I heard of government programs that will help pay your loans if you sign a contract and work for that community for a few years. Where do I start researching? I'm interested in any Latin American countries. Will they pay private loans as well? thank you in advance.

Usually not in foreign countries unless you already have experience as a nurse. They usually do not take new grads.

And since the tuition is much less in those countries, and the pay much less, you are going to be hard-pressed to find that in the south.

You probably will have the best luck with IHS, Indian Health Service in the US on some of the reservations.
