Info on Maryland Licensure

  1. Hi! I have applied to the Maryland BON for NCLEX. I have already passed all their requirements (application form with fee paid, CES report & english exam) for eligibility to take the exam. My problem is after all these how do I know that I my application has been approved? I have been trying for the past month to get through them through email & overseas phone calls. No answer from email & the voice mailbox of the one assigned for licensure application status is always full. I have also tried calling their number listed on the DHMH website (not listed on the BON website!) and still could not get through. Any suggestions on what to do OR what I should do next? I am in such a dead end and could not get hold of anyone to tell me what to do next. Please somebody help!!!

What kind of CES Report did you order? MD requires the Full Education Course-by-Course Report. Did you complete the background check (in case you applied after Jan. 2, 2007) ?

I requested for the Full Education Course-by-Course Report as indicated in the application packet sent to me. I have not completed the background check though since I have applied for NCLEX around June/July 2006.

I tried endorsing to MD before and had issue with specific Geriatric hours with the CES.

If communication is the problem, I suggest that you authorize somebody ( friends/relatives who are in the tri-state/east coast area ) to go to Baltimore and personally follow-up on your case. MD destroys incomplete/inactive files after 1 year. I've heard of lost/misplaced applications, from a different BON, though.

I have an aunt in Maryland who's doing the calling for me now and she still can't get through them. I'll ask her to personally drop by the BON. That is my big worry cuz I passed my application around June/July 2006 so I'm worried my application gets 'destroyed.' Thanks anyway! Wish me luck!

May the force be with your aunt, also! It can really get crazy over there...

I hope that they have your complete file.

gee thanks! I really do hope they have my complete file. I have been emailed before that they already have my application and english exam results. I hope they have my CES report too. Anyway, thanks again!

Hey, just in case they turn your good aunt away, give her a copy of the CES Report you received from the CGFNS and their email stating they have received your application and IELTS results. It need not be official, but just enough to show them that since you already received your copy, they should have received theirs, too.

I'll await what my aunt has to say. She's still trying to get in touch with the Maryland BON. If all else fails, I will do this and ship everything to her pronto! God bless me! HA HA!

No need to ship, just scan and send as attachment via email.

    God bless!

My god .. my aunt just came from the MBON and even with the authorization letter, she wasn't released any information. She explained that I have been trying to contact DONNA AVERSA (in charge for NCLEX) but can't get through. She was advised by the secretary for me to email the director DONNA DORSEY. She has no email address posted anywhere in the world wide web. I am so stuck ... no idea what to do now ...
