Thank you. That's more constructive advice I should say. It's most appreciated. I am now looking into University of Queensland. Will check out Flinder's and USA. Would you know if there are schools in Sydney that offer such conversion program as well?

New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2
I think you are missing my question. The only question I have is, given my situation of having graduated more than 5 years ago & without experience, will I absolutely be ineligible to be registered with APHRA and subsequently do a BP? If not, rather than discouraging me, what is the next best & feasible alternative for me? Is it a conversion program or that refresher course that you mentioned?

New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2
So how come a lot of the posts here say that there are those who have undergone the BP even with zero hospital experience? Does this only apply to those whom have graduated less than 5 years ago?

I was under the impression that prior nursing experience was not a prerequisite to get a LOE and subsequently apply for a BP. Has this changed already?

So does this mean I won't be eligible to apply anymore then?

Hi Everyone,I just passed my AGOS-40 application last March 1. I got an email from my case officer yesterday asking for .... "For applicants to fulfil the requirements relating to the Recency of Practice standard they must demonstrate that they have practiced in their profession (nursing) within the past 5 years. Can you please provide a letter from each of these employers in regard to the positions held. The letters must describe your role in detail and how your skills and knowledge as a nurse were used and if you were required to hold Nursing registration in the Philippines for these positions" The positions I've held for the past 5 years aren't nursing roles. Any insights/comments/advices are welcome. I'm not sure how to go about it.

By god .. why is the Maryland BON so inefficient. Last email that was sent to me (after 3 weeks of sending 2 emails per day), I was asked when I sent in my application. Does that mean they now have lost my application? This is soooo frustrating!!!

Finally got through Donna Aversa's office. The one I talked to was awfully rude! Told me to leave my name then just hung up! Anyway, I called again & was told to call again around Thursday next week. Crossing my fingers til then. Thanks very much!
