  1. Thanks for this helpful useful information. It's most appreciated. I will inquire with IDP and see how they can help.
  2. Thank you. That's more constructive advice I should say. It's most appreciated. I am now looking into University of Queensland. Will check out Flinder's and USA. Would you know if there are schools in Sydney that offer such conversion program as well?
  3. Hi ladydeeRN, I was trying to send a reply to your PM but could not. Apparently, your inbox is full. Would love to hear more of your thoughts :)
  4. I think you are missing my question. The only question I have is, given my situation of having graduated more than 5 years ago & without experience, will I absolutely be ineligible to be registered with APHRA and subsequently do a BP? If not, rather than discouraging me, what is the next best & feasible alternative for me? Is it a conversion program or that refresher course that you mentioned?
  5. So how come a lot of the posts here say that there are those who have undergone the BP even with zero hospital experience? Does this only apply to those whom have graduated less than 5 years ago?
  6. I was under the impression that prior nursing experience was not a prerequisite to get a LOE and subsequently apply for a BP. Has this changed already?
  7. So does this mean I won't be eligible to apply anymore then?
  8. Hi Everyone,I just passed my AGOS-40 application last March 1. I got an email from my case officer yesterday asking for .... "For applicants to fulfil the requirements relating to the Recency of Practice standard they must demonstrate that they have practiced in their profession (nursing) within the past 5 years. Can you please provide a letter from each of these employers in regard to the positions held. The letters must describe your role in detail and how your skills and knowledge as a nurse were used and if you were required to hold Nursing registration in the Philippines for these positions" The positions I've held for the past 5 years aren't nursing roles. Any insights/comments/advices are welcome. I'm not sure how to go about it.
  9. got it! thanks! will keep you posted
  10. would you know Ms. Dorsey's email address? or any way to reach her? been looking for her contact information but couldn't find any ...
  11. By god .. why is the Maryland BON so inefficient. Last email that was sent to me (after 3 weeks of sending 2 emails per day), I was asked when I sent in my application. Does that mean they now have lost my application? This is soooo frustrating!!!
  12. Didn't have any problems with my online CES application though. Mine went smoothly ...
  13. I hope so too! Thank you very much!
  14. Finally got through Donna Aversa's office. The one I talked to was awfully rude! Told me to leave my name then just hung up! Anyway, I called again & was told to call again around Thursday next week. Crossing my fingers til then. Thanks very much!
  15. yup very sure .. DONNA AVERSA .. she is on the site
  16. anybody here who knows DONNA DORSEY's email address?
  17. I was referring to DONNA DORSEY. When my aunt told the secretary of the MBON that I have been trying to get through DONNA AVERSA thru constant emails (I send 2 emails/day for 2 weeks now) & overseas phone calls but still isn't getting any response, she told my aunt to email DONNA DORSEY (the director) instead. MBON destroys all applications with incomplete requirements in a year after it has been filed. I have sent & filed mine in June, 2006 so my time is really running out ... I wonder why DONNA AVERS was prompt to confirm receipt of my application & IELTS score before .. she seems to be nowhere to be found these days. Voice mailbox ALWAYS full. No response to emails. The one & only time that I was able to get thru the MDBON, she wasn't around!! GOD! :angryfire I have no freaking idea what to do next ...
  18. My god .. my aunt just came from the MBON and even with the authorization letter, she wasn't released any information. She explained that I have been trying to contact DONNA AVERSA (in charge for NCLEX) but can't get through. She was advised by the secretary for me to email the director DONNA DORSEY. She has no email address posted anywhere in the world wide web. I am so stuck ... no idea what to do now ...
  19. Alrighty!! thanks very very much!!!
  20. I'll await what my aunt has to say. She's still trying to get in touch with the Maryland BON. If all else fails, I will do this and ship everything to her pronto! God bless me! HA HA!
  21. gee thanks! I really do hope they have my complete file. I have been emailed before that they already have my application and english exam results. I hope they have my CES report too. Anyway, thanks again!
  22. I have an aunt in Maryland who's doing the calling for me now and she still can't get through them. I'll ask her to personally drop by the BON. That is my big worry cuz I passed my application around June/July 2006 so I'm worried my application gets 'destroyed.' Thanks anyway! Wish me luck!
  23. I requested for the Full Education Course-by-Course Report as indicated in the application packet sent to me. I have not completed the background check though since I have applied for NCLEX around June/July 2006.
  24. Hi! I have applied to the Maryland BON for NCLEX. I have already passed all their requirements (application form with fee paid, CES report & english exam) for eligibility to take the exam. My problem is after all these how do I know that I my application has been approved? I have been trying for the past month to get through them through email & overseas phone calls. No answer from email & the voice mailbox of the one assigned for licensure application status is always full. I have also tried calling their number listed on the DHMH website (not listed on the BON website!) and still could not get through. Any suggestions on what to do OR what I should do next? I am in such a dead end and could not get hold of anyone to tell me what to do next. Please somebody help!!!
