My license will expire next yr. - june 2007 and im still here in philippines I still dont have an SNN... my agency said they can renew it even if im still here by june 2007. Im so afraid to lose my license and take agai NCLEX. By the way Iam licensed in Saipan. I need an advice... tnx...

Something is not adding up here, not sure why your PD is still pending if you have had something submitted to immigration on your behalf. The PD is the date that it was received by them and nothing more than that.

CEUs need to be accredited in the US by a licensing body here, none of the classes in the Philippines will count for this requirement as far as continuing education.

There are many courses or classes that can be done on-line and that you can get credit for.

thank you ma'am suzanne. about my PD, yup they recieved it. but the status is still pending. and about the online CE i registered with nurse.com .. thank you so much for your help guys.. more power and godbless

The status is for approval on the I-140, but your PD date is the day that they received your petition.

As soon as they receive it in their hands, not the day that it was mailed, is your PD date. Approval is an entirely different thing and that can be pending for months and months.

ok thank yo so much mam... for the info's and all.. so mam i can maintain still my saipan license even if i have already sent an endorsement application for cali (even if it is already just waiting for my SSN)? thnx again.

The status is pending because you do not have approval on the I-140 as of yet, but that is something completely separate from what is your PD date.

You keep any license that you have, it does not go away unless you do not keep it up.

But have no idea why you have submitted to CA at this time in the first place. Again, they are not going to issue a permanent license without a SSN#, and if you just started the immigration process recently, you are looking at about five years for a chance at a visa. Absolutely no reason that have submitted anything to them at this time as you will have to do it once again and repay again later on.

If they issue a temporary license to you, it is only valid for 180 days, and it not renewable in most cases, especially for not having the SSN#.

Not sure why everyone is just donating their money to the BRN that will need to be paid again at a later time. Until you know that you have an interview with immigration, no endorsements should be started, especially for those that will not issue a license without a SSN#.

im still here in the philippines and no SSN yet, what will i do if my nclex rn from california will already expire?
