We have all used this web site for finding out information on nursing in the UK , nursing in the USA, Canada, Australia and all over the world. I personally have used it following taking the NCLEX and all throught the immigration process.

I have met some fantastic people through this web page and spoken with others personally So thanks to the following people who have supported me through the past two years and especially the last year.

So thanks to Allnurses for giving me these special people

Siri who spend a whole year giving me lots of advice and has listened to my worries and problems and has been my lovely friend, and whom I cant wait to meet.

Cariad one of my bestest friends whom without all nurses I would never have met, and then would have missed out on some great laughs, sorrows and memories.

Silverdragon who I have spend many a conversation with and has given me great advice, who has kept me supplied in goodies from the UK. We look forward to seeing you in the summer.

Suzanne again thanks for all your advice whilst I was in the UK and the support and advice here in the US

Bettyboop cant wait for you to get here and I loved our phone calls in the UK, and again a friend I wouldnt have had without allnurses.

Mr and Mr OG how we enjoy having you over here even if we dont meet up like we would like-our busy life styles and my fear of driving, I really should get hypnotised. I enjoy our weekly phonecalls. We've a date spring break.

Alex we met on allnurses and worked at the same hospital briefly prior to my car accident-we should all meet up again this summer

Thistlegirl we have communicated on here for a long time and we met today and it was fantastic.

and to everybody else who are too numerous to mention I look forward to meeting and communication with each and everyone of you.

So how many of the girls/guys on allnurses have made real friends and keep in touch?? Or I am the only lucky one??

Hi All! This website as been fantastic for me, I'm sure without this network of people I wouldn't have had the bottle to make the move to the USA!!

I think only the people who are or have moved understand what an emotional rollercoaster it is when you are planning to move (especially with pre-teenage kids!!) I have had many doubts about moving, but reading peoples journals and posts gives me a lot of support so THANKS TO ALL!

Special thanks to Madwife and Cariad for making me and my DH so welcome and giving us both great advice Silverdragon, thanks for advice from this side of the pond, it's great to have a pal going to the same hospital!!

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

and, add me here, too.

i had the opportunity to meet a few members recently at a convention. that was so very special to actually put a face/voice with the user id name. when we'd meet, we'd just stare at each other until one of us found our voice. lol!!!!

madwife - i remember speaking with you on the phone when you were still in the uk. that was a wonderful experience to "meet" you like that. then, after you came to the u.s.a. several months later, we continued our conversations thus developing an even closer relationship. (i was hoping we could meet face-to-face last weekend......). i know that we will meet one day. it will happen, my friend. we just need to work on your "southern" talk!! hahahahaha. hug your dd for me!!!!

fonenurse - i've enjoyed our conversations as well. they are not often, but when we do talk, i can close my eyes and imagine i'm right there in jolly old england!!!! we've a lot in common. one day, i hope we can meet. make your next vacation down south here, hon!!

suzanne4 - you were one of the first people i "met" here at allnurses.com. i remember i felt bonded to you immediately. am hoping we can actually physically meet one day. i've learned so much from you. now, don't tell sabrina this, but austin made a little place in my heart with his charm and personality. (i have a weakness for the men;) ). lol!!

cariad - i know we haven't "met", but we have had a common bond with other members here and i feel as if i know you that way. i can still remember your voice, too. one day, i think we shall actually meet, too. i cannot wait!!!

diana - i think we came close to meeting last year, but just wasn't in the cards. you've been a good friend to me. and, you almost have that southern talk down pat. still needs a little work, my friend. lol!!!!

tnbutterfly - really enjoyed meeting you last weekend. you are a hoot and a half. thank you for your friendship.

graceoz - following you "up over" last year was a pleasure. i'll never forget hearing your voice for the first time. (remember my first call? i had the time zones soooo messed up and actually phoned at 0 dark thirty?? lol!!!!). would love to meet one day. (((hugs))), my friend.

i'm like suzanne now. i don't want to hurt anyone by not pointing them out individually. please know that i cherish each and everyone. ya'll are special and i really enjoy getting to know you even better.
