first of all, im not sure if this is the right subforum to post this so moderator/s pls move if necessary. so i just took my 3rd ielts academic exam with the following scores: L 8.5, R 8.0, W 6.5, S 7.5, overall 7.5. i plan to work in australia and it requires applicants to have a score of 7 in the 4 categories. unfortunately for me, i didnt meet the requirement. i feel demoralized, depressed, angry and thats understating it.there are so many emotions that im feeling right now i cant even use the right words. i guess i feel this way because i feel i did all i could in preparing and taking the exam and told myself that this was going to be the last time ill take the exam pass or fail.when i had the writing exam i was pretty confident coz i had a lot of practice and i knew some things about the topic i had. but alas it wasnt enough to give me a 7. i guess ielts just wasnt for me although its hard to accept that fact as of now. so i guess i have no choice now but to look at other countries. correct me if im wrong but new zealand, uk, canada pretty much have the same ielts requirements like australia. i had hopes for canada but writing must be atleast 7. US is pretty difficult to apply to right now. i would really appreciate it if anyone could give me words of encouragement, advice on how to move on with my career, maybe share some countries which can accept my ielts score, any help, or anything at all.

right now im just typing anything at the top of my head.should i ask for a re-mark? should i go with the bridging program despite the insane cost? i dont think i have it in me to take this test again

i think there's an option of a "recheck" for IELTS if you believe you deserve a higher score. another IELTS evaluator will check ur paper for the particular category you wanted rechecked. I think there's a small fee for this.

Sad to see that you are in a bad situation. i have viewed a useful website called CAMECS that shares articles regarding failed IELTS test the same situation you are in and also helpful ways on how to help you get your test scores remarked or get your fees reimbursed. kindly visit the site for more information. hopefully this one can help you. salamat. :)

So if your opening post is a reflection of your written skills, I can see why you failed. Maybe try a night school or English tutor to brush up on English and writing in particular and then try the exam again. I suspect challenging the exam is a non starter. If it's that important to you, the minor investment will be worth it.
