EAD Card - Came in mail yesterday

Just wanted to give ya'll an update, so far everything has been rather smooth and seamless on our AOS.

My wife has NCLEX Exam date for end of February.

We filed for AOS about 60 days ago.

Sent in AOS paperwork first week of November 2008.

Did Biometrics (FingerPrints and Pictures - Took about 10 minutes) first week of December.

Recieved EAD (Employment Authorization Card) in mail yesterday, Also rec'd AP (Advance Parole - So wife can leave USA and come back) yesterday also.

So far, We have not had to do any interviews in USA.

We are waiting for AOS or greencard soon.

Glad to hear that things are working out for you. Best of luck to both of you. And thanks for sharing that it is not instant when one will be able to work here, it all takes time.

For others reading here, his wife is getting the green card because of marriage and not because of petitioning by an employer. Employer-driven petitioning is not available now for the AOS processing, the I-485 cannot be submitted at this time.
