CGFNS- efficient service?

Hi everyone

I mailed my forms for NY CES and Visa screen at the end of Jan.

I received my welcome letters mid Feb.

End Feb I receive a letter telling me that they could not take payment from my credit card company. My credit card company said CGFNS had not provided my correct post code via the electronic payment system.

After 3 phone calls to CGFNS and attempts to speak to the accounts department, attempting to make payment on line I eventually made payment using a debit card. So we were then at the beginning of March.

My on line status said they had mailed the forms to my school and NMC to verify training and license. I received an innactivity letter.

I contacted the CGFNS 1 week ago as we seemed to be in limbo.

They inform me that in fact it looks like the forms were not mailed.

I ahve found the staff on the helpline quite the opposite of helpful and abreupt at times. I am astounded that I am now almost 4 months into the process and no further forward, especially considering they charge a considerable sum for their services.

Anyone else had similar experiences?

I am at a loss regarding best way forward as I now have very little faith in them.

yes difinitely they have a lag moves. up to now its been a month already but the status of my englisg exam WAITING FOR PASSING TEST RESULTS" i sent my englisg result thru DHL and according to the tracking it was delivered already. and to thinkthere charging too much though a non-profit organization, they say

Can tell you what the problem is right there. They cannot and will not accept English scores from you. It has to come directly from the issuing body. And it states so right on the form.

The same way that they will not accept passing NCLEX scores from you.

Sorry, but you wasted the courier fee for nothing.

It also takes on average four months for you to receive the VSC once they have received everything. It is not issued in just a few weeks.

Nothing at all gets done until a payment is credited to your account.

Even if you sent the application in during the month of Janaury, you cannot use that date for anything. Your start date is from March, when the payment was posted.

I am not taking their side, by all means, but you have to be realistic in this. They do not immediately mail letter out to your school and licensing board immediately upon receipt of payment, etc.

I passed my CGFNS exam last March 9, 2005 and took the IELTS last March 18, 2006. I verrified my IELTS results with the IELTS administrator here in the Philippines and with the DHL courier if they forwarded my test report form to CGFNS already, they told me that they sent it already and was received by CGFNS last April 19, 2006. My problem is everytime i check my online status, it haven't change... still indicates "CP Successfull but waiting english result" i emailed CGFNS to follow up my IELTS result but they are not replying. Do you think im still on track? Do you think im having a big problem that i should start calling them? there is this new regulation that everything should be completed in just 12 months but during the time i filled my papers to CGFNS, the regulation that time is to complete everything in 2 years. Im just scared that my papers would expire and pay everthing again. any opinion would be helpfull... thanks!

yes the Official Test result form was Sent by the IDP, i did not mail by my own. They sent it directly to the CGFN/ICHP not me.....
