You can access the requirements at www.rn.ca.gov (website of California BRN)..just check the licensure by endorsement.

Also be aware that CA will not accept your application if you do not have a SSN

do i need experience before endorsing to california from vermont?

As i have mentioned before most states require some form of CES. CVS is required by NY only. The only way round it is for you to check out each state BON and see what they require. Not sure why you are trying to avoid CES if it is a requirement?

I think you will be hard to find a state that does it's own assessment apart from CA, Arkansas may but the last one I knew about was Vermont and last year they changed it and required CES

Also which state do you plan on working in? Although CA is out of the equation as they will not accept applications without a SSN if you go to a state you did not apply to initially you may still have to go through CES to meet their requirements.

thank you. i'll check out arkansas board of nursing.

tnx again

Hi Silverdragon... I passed NCLEX first week of September under IL BON. I have completed the application and submitted my CES. I now have my pass letter from them. Some people that I talk to said that I should have submitted CT NUR, but neither CTS nor IDFPR asked me to send it. They should have advised me to to submit it prior to NCLEX if I really have to do that, right? But since they didn't ask me for it, I don't think that I still need to process that since my CES has license verification! Thanks!

hi,does anyone know the hotline number of illinois board of nusing?

were you able to endorse your license to il without a local license?
