Submit an application for licensure to the board of nursing New York.

Register for the NCLEX Examination with Pearson VUE. Can I do this two steps at the same time? Or submitting an application for licensure is first, and registering for NCLES Examination is second?

Out of curiosity I was wondering is there a time range on how long it takes for NY to get back to you after receiving your application? I received a letter saying that they received my fee and paperwork but just waiting for the ok so that I can register with Pearson. It has already been almost 4 weeks and was wondering what everyones experience was on wait time.:uhoh3:

Did you actually have the CVS completed? They will not do a thing with your application without that?

It is usually about a month once they receive that and have everything else that they need.

But it is about 6 to 8 months on average to get the CVS completed.

CVS- I don't think I have to take that. I forgot to mention I am waiting on my NCLEX-PN not RN.

If you trained out of the US, you need to have your credentials evaluated. They will not look at your application without that.

And what type of visa do you have if you trained out of the US?

You are posting under the International Forum, so not sure if you are aware of this and this is why I am asking these questions of you.
