Hello,ALL,

I'm a foreign nurse... I just got the RN registration assessment result( IN Alberta ). It stated that I have to complete a substantially equivalant competence(SEC) foucused assessment in Obstetrics first. Does anyone know about that? How is the assessment? Anybody have gone through that? Pls give me some advice...

Thanks!

Moved your thread in our Int'l forum where it is more appropriate and where you'll get more responses. Thanks.

Pretend that you are back in nursing school and you are being reviewed for how you do an assessment. Canada actually checks your skills in many cases, but the US does not.

Would not be surprised if the US does not eventually go to this. They already have started it for physicians to get licensed in the US; American trained physicians as well.
