;) hi! can anyone help me to decide which best review center in manila to enrol? and also good nclex material to review.

thanks!:lol2:

How can any one state how good a reviewer is if they have not tested using it?

That makes absolutely no sense to all to me.

i'm super impressed with our moderator suzanne :) .. so updated about nursing worldwide.. whew!

wow.. i cannot believe gapuz is not a licensed USRN.. his short biography in every cover of his books seems to describe another person..

i enjoy reading saunders.. its easy to understand and lots of practice questions.. downside is, i think they are not selling the LPE saunders books, especially the fourth edition (thats what c&e publishings told me..).. so, its kinda expensive.. (compared to low price edition) -- the good side is.. its colored, stimulates your brain with different pictures, comes with a CD that's very helpful .. plus.. you can make use of suzanne's plan.. :yeah:

kaplan has a good reputation.. many takers have already passed nclex from this center.. their course is 2 months laboratory and 1 month lecture.. laboratory is more of a self-study (it was mentioned already by one of our nurses here..) .. you can use their books, and get to watch lecture videos.. schedule is very flexible since, its up to you what time of the day you want to go there to study and watch.. this is a good option for those who are working.. their lecture is not a comprehensive one.. its more of a final coaching.. generally given 3x a week and 3 hours a day for 1 month.. their tuition fee is expensive compared to the other review centers.. :)

urc is also a good review center.. their comprehensive review is 20 hours live lecture (funny lecturers) for half the price of kaplan.. final coaching is for 7 days.. -if you prefer this, better call them for their next schedule and make a reservation.. slots are limited..

its up to you as to what type of learner you are.. kaplan is more on strategy while urc (merge) deals more with giving lectures.. of course, the location is also a consideration..

hope this helps..

goodluck!

Hi there, I'm also looking for a good review center. I don't trust myself to self-review that much. Although, I'm about to complete Suzanne's first tip. I'm planning to go to Kaplan, but they said, it's pretty much self-review. What is a really GOOD review school? Like what is their passing rate?

actually there is no best review center. passing the exam depends on your foundation in nursing. review center are just inrtumental in your review. and their is no actual percentage of passer to base on since only the ncsbn knows about the result. :loveya:

He got licensed in Georgia years ago, but never kept up the license nor worked in the US. So therefore he is not a US licensed RN.

Does not matter what he writes on his review center information, the fact is that he does not hold a license in any state in the US. There was thorough search done on this when the scandal broke two years ago that he was the center of.
