Nursing Students Indiana (ISU)

Am looking into going online for my BSN, I am looking at enrolling with the college network who works with Indiana University. Was hoping someone may have insight to the program?

Moving thread to Online nursing education forum--Indiana State University to elicit further response.

Be aware that the College Network is just a publishing company that creates 'customized' study guides. It is dependent on your learning style whether a student needs the College Network guides to be successful. The distance education/online education programs do provide a significant amount of information and resources for their students to be successful without using outside resources.

best of luck in your educational endeavors.

Before you talk to The College Network, read all the posts that others have posted about their experiences with The College Network. TCN is not a college or university--it is a publishing company. Essentially, it provides you with information to CLEP out of a college/university class. Because the publishing company is not accredite, only a few colleges/universities will accept their students (Excelsior and Indiana State Universities are a few of those who accept TCN people).

There are other online, accredited colleges that provide the same services and for less. Others can give you names, but I am aware that Ivy Tech in Indiana is accepted by ISU. Ivy Tech is a college and is accredited. It has both regular as well as online classes.

TCN has a use, but the potential student needs to be aware of the issues concerning TCN.

I paid for 4 classes at TCN and realize now that I can use other books to study from and don't really need to use them. I needed 7 prereqs before I can start my nursing classes so once my 4 are done with TCN I'll be using Ivy Tech to finish those up before I enroll at Indiana State. I haven't had any issues with TCN just found it cheaper to do the prereqs elsewhere.
