CPR class at Ivy Tech?

Hi, does anyone know if the class that Ivy Tech offers for CPR, HLHS 104, is an acceptable one for nursing school?

Okay well not that it matters LOL. It doesn't look like Indy even offers it anyway.

So where do you take a CPR class?

I know Bloomington's CPR class is acceptable--they told us about it at the Info Session, it's done by the hospital. I've signed up for that one, although I have a feeling it will be much much cheaper if taken anywhere else.

Also, you might try local fire stations--they do First Responder/EMT classes, and one of the requirements is CPR for HCP. = )

The Jordan YMCA offers a course called CPR for the Healthcare Provider. They have one coming up on the 25th of this month.

Most commonly accepted CPR training would be American Heart BLS for Health Care Providers. You can search through their site for CPR classes near where you live. Go to (Americanheart.org), (CPR and ECC), (ECC class connector).

I took my course through here... http://www.cprindiana.com ... they offer discounts for ivy tech students.
