I am a proud USF graduate and I only have great things to say about thier program--minus one teacher and one clinical instructor-I think the entire staff was great--very caring and actually knew all of our names. When I went each nursing class had 45 students. I trans there from Ivy Tech and only had to wait one semester to get in, I do know of folks who got right in though--depending on the semester and how long the wait list is. It may be pricey but they want thier money as much as you want your lic so they will help you find scholarships and grants. work with the buisness office and they will work with you.
    best of luck!!

Yeah that's exactly how I am. I'm about to take pre-req's this semester and then hopefuly be into clinicals in fall '09. I transferred from IPFW to here. That's good to know that most of the staff is friendly and caring.

I am working on my second degree at the University of St. Francis (completed a B.S. in Business several years ago). I had a few pre-reqs that I had to take and will apply to enter the ASN nursing program in the fall, 2009. It would be great if we were in the same nursing class! I know there is a watiing list but not sure how long the wait.

I had a problem with Anatomy I lecture exams, but no problem on lab exams (I took the advice given by racing-mom4). I asked around and will have an instructor recommended by a number of students, so I'm looking forward to going back to school in a couple weeks to complete this class.

I really like the University of St. Francis and can't wait to start clinicals in the fall! I'm sure you will enjoy the smaller class size and the caring instructors. I also have a wonderful advisor.

Have you already taken the Anatomy classes?

Racing-mom4, you mentioned two difficult instructors - since names cannot be listed here, how will we know who to avoid? Help!

    Happy New Year!

    GoaltoAchieve,
It would be nice if we were in the same nursing class or study together. I have already taken both sections of A&P at IPFW. What classes are you planning on taking this semester? Happy New Year to you too.

I am taking only Anatomy I this spring. Once it is completed, I'll be ready to apply to the nursing program and then will anxiously await the decision to see if I get in the program for the fall.

I may take Anatomy II this summer, depending upon the instructor....

What classes are you taking this semester?

    Thanks.

Well ya cant avoid the lecture teacher as they only have one choice of teachers once you get into your Nursing program!! So the Ob teacher is the Ob teacher and the Med Surge 3 teacher is the Med Surge 3 teacher and thats it...its ok though I didnt like the 1 but some of my friends did and I loved 1 certain teacher dearly--in fact still email her and others I know couldnt stand her...So just cause I personally wanted to slash the ones tires does not mean you wont want to bake her cookies!!!

Congrats on your exciting futures with USF---This was the 1st Christmas my kids didnt get USF clothes in 3 years...LOL they reminded me of it just yesterday.
