ANP 101 online

I am taking 101 online right now. Having never been in the in-person class, I don't know how the slides compare. We have slides to look at through Practice Anatomy Lab (PAL) which is accessed through Course Compass or I also have the computer disk for it. Some of the labs are computer-simulated, some stuff you do at home, and there are weekly discussion board posts that require some internet research and citing of sources. I know we use a different textbook than the in-person classes (using Marieb & Hoehn rather than Saladin).

You sound pretty calm...am I wrong for freaking out after reading somewhere on here that 90% of the summer ANP101 online people fail? I've not taken any courses yet, and I'm beginning to hyperventilate reading this board. I have a BS, so I've done college coursework. I just hate to set myself up for failure, but need to take and pass 101 to be on track for an April 10 application.

I got a solid A in online 101 the past spring term. I will be taking 102 online starting tomorrow. I would think that taking 101 in the summer would def. require a lot of time put into it simply because there is a lot of straight memorizing. I expect 102 to take a lot of time as well. If you have a degree already (as do I) then I think you will be able to handle it.

Thanks for that. I need the encouragement. I am an actor and am used to memorizing everything, so I'd hoped that it would be a lot of memorization. After the July fourth weekend, I won't be working outside the home the remainder of the summer, so I should have a lot more time to devote to the latter half of the class. Thank you again. And it sounds like your lab kit might be just what I need. I'm going to figure out how to message you privately after this, so I don't pollute the thread with the details. :)
