Truman Nursing Application Extension

Does anyone have any scoop on why Truman College suddenly, little more than a week before the application deadline, extended it for another month? On their Website there is an announcement that the deadline has been extended until March 1. However, they provide no explanation as to why (or how it will affect the decision process and timeline). I highly doubt they don't have enough applicants unless they are rethinking their entrance guidelines, which wouldn't surprise me, but would also be somewhat shady this late in the game. Just wondering if anyone knows of anything going on, or if it's just a ploy to get a bigger pool of applicants.

Thank you chicagonurse2b, and zbb13, it is just so frustrating!!, I will wait till about 2pm, if no news, I will call the CCC. what gives me a little light is that my last name begins with the letter "V", so I am hoping that I am in the last pile :redbeathe. Is anybody else still waiting for their email? :uhoh3:

If it helps any my last name begins with a (T) and I received my email late last night. I also took ZEBBS advice and called the office. They were kind and took my name down , they did call me back and stated that I was accepted.

The email came later that evening.

I just starting using this site and I plan to apply next year for the program, I would like to ask you a question? Is the GPA just based on the three pre req's or is it cumalative of all the classes you have ever taken? Thanks, and again, congrats

I have an A in everything and a 99 on the reading test and still haven't heard anything, is that weird? Wonder if they just put a bunch of names into a hat and pulled out names...haha

Jax, I completely understand. I received my email in the middle of the night (last night), even though it went out in the afternoon. I am thinking maybe they sent out emails alphabetically. My last name starts with "S". In addition, they probably must deal with emails that didn't go through. I believe zbb13 said she received a call, because the email didn't go through. So hang in there and keep calling! Good luck!

Jax, just hang in there, I am still waiting as well:uhoh3:. This is rediculous! Jax, what is the first letter of your last name? because if you have all A's, you definetly will get in. My last name begins with "V", I just hope they are still working on emails. I called them but calls go to voice mail :banghead:
