TraumaRUs or anyone: OSF St. Francis College of Nursing vs Methodist

U.S.A. Illinois

Which of these programs do you feel is stronger? I plan on doing UIC's DNP program after I am an RN for a bit so I feel I should go for the best program I can. I mean I could do UIC's nursing program, but I'd have to wait over a year to do so.

I'm partial to OSF's program because I went there.

Lol

I also attended St. Francis and feel it was a great school. One of its advantages is that all of your inpatient clinicals (except psych) are at OSF, which I considered important as it is a level one trauma center and has a large children's hospital and NICU. I also loved the intructors and staff. On the other hand, I currently work with a few Methodist graduates, who are also very well educated.

I'm now an APN but I did work 10 years at St Francis' ER and loved every second of it. Fantastic hospital and opportunities. You will see stuff (especially peds) that you won't be able to see at MMCI.
