  1. I also attended St. Francis and feel it was a great school. One of its advantages is that all of your inpatient clinicals (except psych) are at OSF, which I considered important as it is a level one trauma center and has a large children's hospital and NICU. I also loved the intructors and staff. On the other hand, I currently work with a few Methodist graduates, who are also very well educated.
  2. The CVCU that I work in requires all prospective open-heart patient's to have a dental exam, or provide proof that they have seen a dentist within the last 6 months. Aside from these surgical patients, we have yet to address dental issues. Hope this helps! I'll be interested to hear more on this topic!
  3. Sorry to hear about your housing trouble!! It is hard enough moving to a new state. I'm a graduate of St. Francis College of Nursing, which is less than a block away from Methodist College of Nursing in Peoria. I'm not 100% sure on this, but perhaps if St. Francis still has dorm rooms available for this winter, they would be willing to let you rent one for a semester (until something opens at Methodist). I know when rooms are still available, they often open them up for the radiology students. Also, you could check with Bradley University student apartments. They have quad apartments and often have tenants looking for a fourth roommate. I doubt they would expect you to show income, as they are student apartments. They are about a 10 minute drive from Methodist, but they are quite nice.
  4. I completely relate!!! (although you will be done much sooner than me!) I have a terrible case of Senioritis! Feeling very burnt out and ready to just be done with it all. Think of the reward you'll have in 6 weeks, though! I wish I were to the point you are:yeah:
