Resurrection University Fall 2013 Applicants

U.S.A. Illinois

Published

Hello,

I decided to start this thread as I am applying to Resurrection's night program for the fall. I was just wondering if anyone else was applying and what parts of the process have you completed? I just sent in my application and will be applying for the Teas. Maybe we could all keep in touch and Good luck to everyone!

So I just got an email back from John. It stated that those that are missing one of the requirements (2.75 overall GPA, 2.75 science GPA, and 71 Teas score) have to wait for a committee vote and won't find out until early June.

However, I meet all of the requirments so I'm not sure why my application is being held back. I emailed him back stating this, but he said he is out of the office until May 9th. So I am calling the admissions office directly tomorrow morning.

I find it odd that this is happening, because I was told by John previously that if you dont meet all 3, your application isnt even put into the pile period.

I hope this gets worked out asap and I can get an answer soon because I need to make arrangments for my children & other schooling options. Waiting another month almost isn't an option, because if I don't get in and dont make arrangements, I'm screwed. Ugh. so we'll see!

What program are you trying to do? Part time, full time

I wrote the admissions office an email asking when they would send out the final word on if someone got admitted, because i have yet to hear anything either way. The online portal still says ''application complete" and according to other older threads, that changes to "application accepted" and i'd assume it say "application rejected" or something along those line if you were denied. I've been closed talking with my admissions counsler for about a year, so I would think he would give me the word either way by now if it had been made. I'll post what the reture email says on monday (I sent it out friday) in case anyone else looking at this thread is curious and doesn't know yet either.

Just out of curiousity, when are the orientation days? Do you get to pick or is it a set date?

Here are the dates? I can pick one, I believe:

-Monday, June 24th (8:30am-12:00pm)

-Monday, July 8th (11:30pm-3:00pm)

-Monday, July 22nd (1:30pm-5:00pm)

-Saturday, August 3rd (8:30am-12:00pm)

Good luck!

For the evening/weekend program. I assume that's the part time one?

Yep......if he said it went to committee to be reviewed, you can still get in for the Fall, only if its still openings. You can email your counselor and ask if it still is openings. They only take 20 people.

Thats who I've been emailing, is my counsler. The only thing is, it shouldve been apart of the original pile. NOT sent to the committe to be reviewed because I meet all of the requirements. So someone messed up somewhere. He emailed me again & even though he said he doesn't get back into the office until the 9th, he's get back to me tomorrow & figure it out.

And they only take 20 people for the entire program for the night/weekend? Thats a really small number, so fingers are crossed.

This is so stressful, haha.

Well, you need to go up to the school and talk to someone. Hurry up, they are probably close to their max, 20

I called and all the lady I spoke to was going to do was transfer me to my counsler, because she doesn't know everything. BUT I did get some general answers out of her.

They review them based on when they come in. Mine were submitted weeks before the deadline, so not sure why they have'nt made it to me yet. BUT I could be hearing back soon because they are still making choices as to who gets in. Its not like I'm in the pile going to the committe yet. SO when my counsler gets back to me tomorrow or wednesday, it could all be figured out & I'll hear back this week or next week.

So it's just a slight waiting game. But in the end, the good news as there is still plenty of hope for me and anyone else waiting! =)

It gets discouraging after a while when it comes to getting into a nursing program, but we all just need to keep our heads up! =)

Has anyone gotten an acceptance/denial response from RESU for fulltime?

I received acceptance for full time maybe a couple weeks ago

I spoke with my counsler & he said there is still room for both programs. They are still making theyre way through all the files they have. The VERY latest anyone will here is early June (I assume the 1st week). But a lot of people should be hearing back next week. I was told specifically that mine was next in line and I will hear monday at the latest. Dont be afraid to call your assigned counsler to see whats going on. Who ever answers the phone when you call admissions can figure out who that is and transfer them. =)
