PCCTI LPN Program in Chicago

U.S.A. Illinois

Published

Does anyone know much about the PCCTI LPN program in Chicago? I'd begun looking into but now I see there's a class action lawsuit against them and apparently they don't have good clinical sites. Not sure what's going on there but if anyone has the inside scoop, please share. :)

I went there, and graduated last December. I did pass my boards but that is only because I managed to get by with 3 hrs of sleep a night for a year, and teach myself. The school is a pathetic excuse for education, and the admin cares only about money. I missed clinicals, and Nitasha told me to see her about making them up-which I did 3 times-and I never had too. It's fine with me because I work in the field and was doing more as a tech at work then they could get access to at their clinicals (they will tell you clinicals will be at both hospital and nursing home settings-but that is a lie). All in all my instructor was amazing- atleast the one that didnt quit mid semester......you can pay your way thru remediation to pass, and the tests are the same....Study sessions for the tests you need to take before hand are great- they give you the answers to all the test questions so you are guaranteed admittance.

read my posting below.....big msitake - And i am not a bitter student, i passed the program, never had remediation, and I have been licensed since this spring and working. But I do wish I didn't make such a poor choice in education....its a sad excuse for a school

I agree. Your posting is more credible. I hope the school does something

Teachers in this school do not have any part in the grading system since the school does that for them. They do not make the test nor do they grade them. Some teach well. Some read power points. For theory, i think an online system would be better.

Do not go to this school

much better schools with much better reputations then this.

Worst school ever. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I do not agree what was said by the previous person. I feel that the program is as they stated during enrollment and even on Orientation "Intense & Accelerated" I do not feel that they mislead in anyway. Students with the desire, drive, and dedication applied will excel in the program. The people who do not pass our able to retake exams as part of remediation to help increase your scores, the school has so many resources available within the tuition. Currently their pass rate for the NCLEX LPN State Exam is 100% for 2015 and it speaks volumes of the teaching, and student preparation for success in the field. This program is meant for serious people, ready to take on the accelerated. I recommend students to PCCTI Healthcare all the time and will continue to do so, this program is for people who do not look to blame others for their lack of seriousness or dedication to being a positive part of their student body. Chicago campus staff are very helpful, and financial aid helps answer any questions you have, So many options for payments as well!! Financial Aid, WIA Funding, Scholarships, Grants, etc. Without question, I recommend students to this school.
