Moving to Kane County in February-where should I work?

Hello!

I'm from PA-lived in Milwaukee for the past year, now heading down to St. Charles, IL. I have 2 years med/surg, and telemetry experience. I'd like to do either ICU or hospice. (Quite the extremes, I know-I'm so torn)

The closest hospital to where I'll live is Delnor. About 15 minutes away is St. Joseph's Trauma Hospital. Can't seem to find any hospices in the area.

I think there is also a train station right in town. How long would my commute be if I worked somewhere in near Chicago?

I just don't know the area at all-and I also read that it takes forever to get my license switched over.

Any ideas for me or opinions on the hospitals listed?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried Sherman Hospital? My grandma lived in the Dundee area, and when she was dx with cancer, she had hospice care for her at her home, and I believe she went through Sherman Hospital. Sherman is in Elgin, off of rt. 25.

Oh and welcome to IL, hope you like it here.

I would recommend Rush-Copley, Edward's Hospital and Delnor.

Thanks for the replies!

I already sent my resume to Delnor. Waiting to hear back from them.

I will send my resume to the others listed as well.

Thanks!
