Filipina Nurse Obtaining CES to be an Illinois Nurse

Hello! I'm a newbie here and I a badly need help regarding my NCLEX application. I am currently having confusions on my CES application. I am not sure what exact forms I need to submit to CGFNS. Please help me.. :(

I'm a registered nurse in the Philippines and I am applying to become a registered nurse in Illinois.

Dear Miss Leslie,

Congratulations on choosing Illinois as your state of practice to begin with. Im Filipino myself and when I immigrated, I started in Central Illinois but now live in Chicago.

Im sure you know you dont have to take the CGFNS exam because we were the ones that petitioned the state to be a NON-CGFNS state- so that is already done.

Next, online you will need to either download forms and fill up the necessary data for the CES requirement which happens to be the CGFNS office as a form of service evaluating your education- Since everyone has BSN over there, good for you!

the downloaded forms need to be submitted to your school so they can evaluate credits (units as Filipinos are used to calling it) then YOUR SCHOOL WILL HAVE TO SUBMIT IT DIRECTLY to CGFNS office.

also there are forms for licensure so you do the same for PRC and they will have to submit it directly to the same office

hello! Thank you so much. I have a question about the fingerprint card. it would be so nice of you to help. I got it already but I'm quite confused as to where i'm going to send it. should i send it to the ISP or to a livescan vendor? :cautious:
