inpatient hospice nurse/pt ratio

For those of you who work in an inpatient hospice unit, what is your typical nurse patient ratio? Do you have nurses aides? I can't find any resources online that have specific guidelines and my hospital doesn't have any information that addresses ratios for hospice.

Our ratio is 4-5 patients: 1 nurse. We use a mix of RNs and LPNs. We use aides mostly in our houses (residential care rather than acute inpatient) and to do visits in ALFs/ECFs/patients own homes).

in a 10 bed unit, we have one rn/lvn to a max of 5 patients. day shift usually has 2 nurses and 2 cna's, and night shift usually has 2 nurses and 1 cna. day shift also has a huc and the other interdiscipllinary team members.

I work as an RN in an In patient unit. I have six patients, with one CNA who works with me.

i worked acute inpatient...and avg'd 2-3 pts.

never more than 4, which was a rarity.

one aide for 2-3 nurses, it'd vary depending on pts presentation.

these were extremely ill pts.

I work for a "non profit" and our ratio is 6-7 with one aide in a hospice house setting.

I am in a stand alone inpatient hospice. We have a mix of end of life, respite, and symptom management patients. We have two 12 bed units. Day and evening shifts have an RN, LPN, and a care aide, for each side and on nights there is an RN for each side and a LPN on one side and a care aide on the other.

We have a 15 bed unit. Our ideal staffing for day shift is 3 nurses (RNs and LPNs) and 3 CNAs. We also have at least one volunteer most of the time. Night shift is 2 nurses and 2 CNAs. Sometimes, of course, we aren't fully staffed. Other times all our beds aren't full. But, usually our ratio is 4-5 patients per nurse.

Oh wow I just interviewed for a place and they have 14 beds but regularly its 10 patients..I was told that I would have 10 patients and day shift sometimes gets a LPN and an RN..I will be 3-1130p, I just accepted the position because I figured this will be my first job (aside from LTC since I raduated Nov 2009)..hmm

I work on an 18-bed unit, mixed: hospice/palliative. The staffing ratio is 1 CNA, 1 LPN, 1 RN and a couple extra hours from another NA. Anyone have this scenario?
