HESI study tips

Nursing Students HESI

I'm going to be taking my HESI exams in about 6 weeks. I really need to study. I got a book to review, but I need to score in the 90s, I really want to improve my chances.

What would you recommend?

I don't need to take the chem or physics section, THANK GOD!

And I downloaded quizlet onto my phone to review the vocabulary in my free time.

I was just wondering what else I can do?

I passed my exam 3 weeks ago I got a 96% . I recommend the hesi study guide 3rd edition . I paid $30 bucks, it's very thin but I felt it was exact same as the test! Make sure you go over the practice questions triple times! Know conversions ratios and fractions , good luck

Don't forget to pray ! God makes all things possible

Oh yes quizlet helped sooo much play the games practice the vocab ! Most of the words were on there but some weren't .

Oh calculator! Is it allowed?

Oh calculator! Is it allowed?

Where I took mine -- outside calculators were not allowed.. but the HESI test has a built in calculator that we were allowed to use.

Yes my test site provided us with a calculator . Not scientific just a basic calculator. No outside calculators were allowed at my testing site.

The provided calculators, were they able to do fractions, or were they more like the ones suited for 1st graders? I'm not expecting a Ti-84 but was it at least a TI-30XII ?

It was more suited for first graders. No fractions . It did have the percent sign though. I recommend knowing how to solve the problems because although you are using a calculator if you input the information wrong then the whole problem is wrong. It is so easy to make simple mistakes . Take your time I had 4 hours I finished in 3 but take your time go slow write down the questions figure out what it is asking.

It's like the calculator you would get in the 99 cent store

It was calculators suitable for first graders the one you can purchAse for $1 . As basic as basic can get

Yes very basic first grade calculator , no fractions only a percent sign

Darn. Great to know. I don't know why this is in the exit hesi section. I'm taking the A2 for admissions. So other then practice book, what websites would be worth it?
