What is a good score on the HESI?

Nursing Students HESI

I took the HESI exam for the LPN program & got a 98% average. I know that's a high score, but I'm worried alot of people scored that high & I won't get in. What is the average school that most people get on this exam?

I believe you need over an 80% to be accepted. Great job!

It really depends on your school. Each school can set a number or percentage needed to enter their program. So check with your school they should be able to give you more information.

I am taking my HESI Entrance Exam next week at HBU any suggestions or help?

As long as you studied the Evolve Assesment you should be fine. On the math portion know it all...some people on this site stated they didn't have any algebra..however, I did. I believe there are 7 versions of the test.

Study study study..and while you are taking the test...RELAX! Good luck

HI, I have to take the HESI entrance exam on 9/20/12 to get into the BSN program at Chamberlain in jacksonville, little bit nervous,I've studied but still afraid I want pass, have to get 75% or better any suggestions for a sure passing score..

I took the Chamberlain HESI A2 for the Chicago campus. I'm giving you a heads up, the vocab that the Evolve has, those words ARE NOT in the test. I suggest you purchase a vocab book and read different words to kind of help. I missed the test by .4% I retake it on this upcoming Tuesday. Majority of the Math test consists of fractions, percentages, conversions, and last but not least... meatric measurements. You have plenty of time, STUDY HARD!!!!!

I totally agree with you on the vocab part as I felt the same way. I just took my test last Thursday. I didn't have any roman numerals on the math section and it seems like we had a similar math section as well.

Good luck to all!!

at the center for allied health and nursing education the pass mark is 75 each school has there own set of standards. good thing is once you pass at my school you have to do an interview with the administrator and write a small essay to sell your sell.

The only thing I decided to look over the night before since I hadn't had time to study at all was the metric conversions. I'm so glad I did too because I got alot of them on the exam. Other than that, it was alot of basic math and it gave you a calculator. =) I would google flash cards and sample quizzes to prepare for the exam though. There seems to be alot online.

Specializes in Maternal Child, Home Health, Med/Surg.

I got an 88, so I'm not sure. I know it depends on the school. If a lot of people get 95+, that's who will get in.

You got a high score! Congrats!! :D What average is your school asking for?
