Guidance for Hesi

Nursing Students HESI

Published

This is a question for guidance, to study for the Hesi. My issue is I have taken the Hesi twice, passed all sections except A&P. A&P is so so so broad and there is no way we will know everything on A&P before we are even in the program, so this test can be on anything in A&P. I studied better on the endocrine system and know it very well, and then nothing on that was on my 2nd test. Why would they (evolve) send study materials after the test (which I studied for) and then not test you on it again. I need guidance on the most effective way to study A&P, this is the only area I am struggling in

Hello,

We moved your thread to the HESI forum for the best response.

Good luck.

I have no idea how to help. Maybe, focus on your weak areas?

HESI/evolve makes a study guide. I recommend getting that and studying the A&P section. Also, you could get some kind of A&P review (like A&P for Dummies) and studying that.

search "crash course" on you tube. this channel provides really great information regarding a bunch of different topics including a&p, and chemistry. My saving grace for many classes. good luck!

There's a great comprehensive Cliff Notes A&P book that I found to be very helpful in studying for the HESI entrance exam. The guidebook that the school recommend is also very good at least in giving you an idea of what to expect on the actual exam. My school only required Math, Reading and A&P modules of the HESI for nursing. I found the test to be very straight forward. The critical thinking questions were not too bad either, it was pretty obvious what you should be doing as a nurse in the field.
