On a scale of 1-10 about a 6. Not horrible as it was no cholesterol or saturated fats. Bad because it was a processed food, blah blah blah. A fresh salad, some steamed veggies and some beans and rice would have been better.

It shows in my low energy level that I'm on one of my down cycles in my cyclical personality.
{{{{{{{Tweety}}}}} At least you didn't blow it entirely!

I hope you feel better (I would give you the flowers smiley but couldn't find it!)

We went to this store and they had rollerblades for sale, and I tried them on. I got angry because my son wanted me to buy him some TOO, and he already had fairly new ones, but he pitched a fit and we left without any. OH was I mad, thinking, "the stuff I bought for HIM while I bought hardly anything for myself -- the little spoiled BRAT!!" ... (yes, mommies do get resentful sometimes!). I got over it ... (chuckling at myself ... those were the days)

Get resentful sometimes? I am still resentful........my very spoiled dtr come home with her hand out everytime she and her husband make a poor financial deal. Finally sat her down and explained that the bank of mommy was closed.......for good..........now if I can just keep the pics of the grandkids out of my head when she informs me she is needy or broke.....lol

    Zoe,
Congrats on the skating..........again, more power to ya........not ever me though.

Gosh I can only imagine, now that Tommy is 19 the only reason I don't bail him out (no, not jail - YET!) is that I don't HAVE the $ - and thank God I don't - because they will never learn that they have to depend on themselves and that THEY are responsible for those little lives! Wow, that would kill me too.

AND you just reminded me by your following post on the rollerblades - I forgot to go to the used sports equipment store to see if THEY have any (the Sal Army store had a ton but none fit...) If the sports store doesn't have any I'll have to break down and get some new ones - which would be better anyway - "used shoes" are not the greatest idea ...

    Hi to all!
Sarah - still waiting to hear your reply................. But if that's not the reason you are wobbling mentally, then {{{{{{{Sarah}}}}}}}. Actually, hugs anyway!
Zoe - you are a MUCH braver woman than I! I prefer to keep my clutzy feet firmly on the ground.
Hiker - any hikes this weekend? DH and I went on one yesterday, legs are a little sore today but not bad.
Estravelrn - we are kindred spirits when it comes to rollerblades! Oh, and strong work on closing 'the bank of mommy'! My MIL took YEARS before she would do that to one of her children (not DH!). It cut out a LOT of family resentment, including issues with DD she cut off. Funny, you would have thought DD would have been more upset, but she wasn't really. I think her husband was more the problem, and DD was grateful to not have to be in the middle of all that any more.
I've been better the last few days. I think that 'biggest loser' contest coming up at work is keeping me a little more focused at the moment. Whatever it takes. Cash appears to be a good motivator at the moment.
    :roll
    Hi to those I missed.
Hope you all are doing okay! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

I think that's often the case lol

Blue and Zoe.......ty, not helping out financially is the hardest, and unfortunately I can afford it, and that makes it even worse, however, I didn't struggle to get where I am so that I could financially support them their entire lives, there are things I would like to do.
Blue.....let me know how your "biggest loser" contest at work goes, tried it once, and started out great, ended terrible....lol
Zoe...I hate wearing other peoples shoes......just something not right about it, even bowling shoes...is just weird.
Hope everyone had a good weekend, very stressful for me.......please see new thread posted with travel nurses.....

I have some rollerblades. I used to blade weekly. I haven't in a long while though. They require maintenance, like oiling and rotating the wheels. Too much work. LOL

ER, sorry to hear about your work stress. There does come a time when you have close the Bank of Mommie. But you have to be consistent. A coworker of mine was bemoaning that "because of the grandkids" they are constantly paying their kids car note, bills and other things. They co-sign loans and wind up making the payments. They get mad at the kids, but the kids haven't learned any responsibility of their own.

I'm o.k. I had a birthday party last night and today it's back to the gym and light eating. I'm not sure if I'm going to get on the scale or not. I probably should, just to shock myself into some better discipline than I've had this week. Maybe I need one more "snap out of it" slap.

    Tweety,
Ty for your advice on the other thread about the work issue. It is driving me nuts.
This bank of Mommy is closed. If my grandkids need food, etc.....bring em on over...I'll be glad to feed em, but no more cash hand outs. The kids aren't learning anything by my handouts.
Was the birthday party for you or someone else?
The only time the scale helps me is if there is a loss....then I get jazzed and inspired, if the scale goes up, then I get bummed and think I should just give up....I tend to be a negative person...

ER, it was for a friend who turned 55. Great food. The scale this AM as I expected wasn't kind, but it was a slap in the face motivator. Good luck with the work thing.

Hadn't thought of that but it makes sense - something else to plan on getting.

Yeah, what I was thinking too is that we wear them (as in "wear out") differently - no ones feet are the same - and so their arches might be too low for my flat ones, etc. Plus, the support goes out of them after a while, as we know with our stupid nursing shoes, lol

    Thanks for the slap Tweety!

Haha Blue - nope, tubes are tied, but that's about how I feel - LOL!

Zoe - glad to hear it's not just me. Perhaps I shall survive then?

I am still not sleeping, but I start classes again tomorrow and hopefully that will help.

On the plus side, I have eaten very little lately, so that is good because my stomach is actually starting to understand the meaning of the word "full" - yeay!

How is everybody doing? Looks like y'all have been busy this weekend!

    Take care everyone!
