Pursuing a degree in nursing and being a nurse in the military...

Hi, believe made a post awhile back introducing myself. I was contemplating pursuing a different degree. I am close to finishing college by the fall. Near the start of my senior year came to a conclusion that the degree pursuing was something interested in, but in the wrong direction. Before considering pursing a new degree was interested in the military. I am looking into the Army, Coast Guard, Air Force, and Navy and hopefully will make the scores to enter into a job involved in the medical field.

Question with a degree unsure if would be able to be eligible for any programs the military might offer. If anyone has more information on what programs each branch offers would be appreciative? I will have to look up more information.

everything you are describing indicates you are looking at all branches, taking the ASVAB and enlisting...

Nothing wrong with that - lots of good options.. but there is a distinct difference in role as enlisted soldier vs officer, role of joining in as a LPN or med assistant vs a nurse, etc etc.

I would look at this:

branches.. what overall mission do you prefer between services... what degree do you have now... what future profession and degree you are interested it... it sounds like you want to join, you don't know a lot about the service and you are shopping recruiters.. this often ends in you joining after a recruiter buys you a free meal, shows you a bonus contract and you sign up to be a petroleum specialist and ship next week j/k... but seriously military has a LOT of jobs in the medical field.. i'd explore the jobs in general before talking to recruiters.. look at the jobs.. look at what you want to do and then repost on here and i'm sure you'll get some good input.

I'd personally ask what your previous degree is in.. i'm trying to see if you have full bio/chem/phys sequences or anything like that... as I have ideas but need more input.
